Your Questions, Answered
What is mobile auto detailing and how does it work?
1
Mobile auto detailing brings professional-grade cleaning and paint care directly to your location. You request an appointment, then we call you to discuss your needs, and confirm a date and time. Our detailer arrives at your home or office with all the equipment and products needed to complete the service on-site.
What’s the difference between a car wash and auto detailing?
2
A car wash removes surface dirt. Auto detailing goes much deeper — cleaning, restoring, and protecting every surface of your vehicle inside and out, including paint correction, leather conditioning, and long-term protective coatings. Detailing preserves your vehicle‘s value while a car wash just temporarily maintains appearances.
Why shouldn’t I take my luxury or exotic vehicle through an automatic car wash?
3
Automatic car washes use stiff brushes and harsh chemicals that can scratch clear coat, strip wax, and damage delicate trim and paint finishes. For luxury and exotic vehicles — where paint condition directly affects value — hand detailing is the only safe option. We use microfiber mitts, pH-balanced products, and techniques specifically suited to high-end finishes.
What kind of space do you need to get a mobile detail? Do I need to have a driveway?
4
We need enough room to work around the vehicle comfortably. A driveway is ideal, but a parking spot at your workplace or an open area works too. We’ll confirm the setup when we schedule your appointment.
What areas of Metro Detroit do you serve?
5
Communities we serve include Auburn Hills, Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Chesterfield, Clarkston, Clawson, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Franklin, Fraser, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Woods, Huntington Woods, Lake Orion, Macomb Township, New Baltimore, Oakland Township, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Romeo, Royal Oak, Shelby Township, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, Troy, Utica (our home base) and Washington Township. Give us a call to request another city.
Do I need to be home during the detail?
6
We prefer to inspect your vehicle with you when we arrive for your detail. As long as we have a key to your vehicle, you’re welcome to get on with your day off site while we get to work. We’ll give you a call when the job is finished to go over payment details and answer any questions. Occasionally we will detail a vehicle if a client is out of town or otherwise unavailable to meet when we arrive.
How long is a detail appointment?
7
It depends on the service, and condition and size of the vehicle. An interior and exterior service typically each take 1.5-3 hours.
Do you specialize in any specific types of vehicles?
8
Yes. We specialize in luxury, exotic, and high-performance vehicles. Our detailers are knowledgeable and experienced with the materials, finishes, and care requirements of high-end makes and models.
What products and equipment do you use?
9
We use professional-grade products and cutting-edge equipment suited to each vehicle’s specific needs. We’re happy to discuss the products used on your vehicle when you book.
How often should I have my vehicle detailed?
10
For most luxury vehicles, we recommend a full detail two to four times per year. Regular maintenance washes in between help protect the finish and extend the life of each detail.
How do I prepare my vehicle before my appointment?
11
Remove any personal belongings from the interior before our detailer arrives. Beyond that, no preparation is needed — we handle everything else.
What’s your cancellation policy?
12
We understand things come up and are happy to reschedule if needed. However, cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a $50 fee.
